I opened my KidzArt franchise in Loudoun County, Gainesville & Haymarket in Feb. 2005.  I named my business "Gracyns Art, LLC" after my granddaughter.  It was the realization of a dream for me. 

This year my KidzArt franchise won the 2009 FRANCHISE OF THE YEAR AWARD from the Loudoun County Chamber of Commerce!

I began my career as a corporate trainer.  I worked for 18 years in high technology companies and I was good at my job.  I loved teaching, but what I loved more was working with children and helping them be all they could be.  My opportunity came in 2000, when I was "down-sized."  I took a job as a Center Director at a Learning Center and knew that I had found my passion.  Working with children and their families was my calling.  I also had a love of the arts, and my daughter had always had an interest in artistic activities.  In 2004, when my daughter was pregnant with her first child, I discovered KidzArt.  It was the perfect blend of Art, Education, Fun and Life Skills.  I knew I had to bring this to Northern Virginia.

The past 5 years we have been able to enrich the lives of many families by bringing them our high quality, fine arts program.  Children not only learn to draw but they gain self-confidence, problem solving skills and the ability to think creatively.  Parents are amazed at the types of things their children are capable of and what they bring home each week.
